For such a small camera, it features high level features like a ZEISS zoom lens, fast intelligent autofocus, OLED viewfinder and 180° tilting touch screen. It's built to be supremely travel-friendly but deliver remarkable performance.
Powerful zoom
The ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* lens delivers superb image quality all across the zoom range, from 24mm wide angle to 720mm telephoto (35mm equivalent). As well as 28x optical zoom, the Clear Image Zoom feature offers even further magnification while retaining high resolution. It makes the HX99 the perfect camera for everything from everyday shots to memorable travel photos.
4K movie footage
This is the first in Sony's HX camera series to feature 4K movie capture. Full sensor pixel readout with no pixel binning results in outstanding resolution with reduced moiré and jaggies.
Fast & responsive autofocus
Fast Intelligent AF uses high-speed, highly accurate contrast-detection autofocus to capture that perfect split-second moment. Sophisticated Eye AF is perfect for portrait shots, instantly focussing on the eye, even in difficult shooting conditions. Shoot high-speed continuously at 10 frames per second.
Steady shots
