The Switch 2 has finally been released after an extremely long 8-year wait. Although many 'special edition' versions of the Switch were released within that time, the Switch 2 is the official sequel console to the Nintendo Switch 2017 console. And now it's here! With so much hype and anticipation around the console, we worried that it would have been too overhyped. But we're here with our official review. Let's get into it!

Will the Switch have Joy-Cons?
When unboxing the Switch 2, it looks just like the Switch 2017 packaging. We see the iconic box with the Switch 2 logo and that illuminating red branding. Inside is extremely simple, the controllers on one side, the console on the other, the docking station and charging cables underneath.
The Switch 2 itself feels great to hold, although a lot bigger, there's no impact on the weight of the console. The controllers are bigger to match the actual screen improvement, and we've tested out the mouse controls option on the controllers. It's very reliable and works well. Specifically, we loved how the mouse controls are so precise on a selection of platforms, including the floor, the table and even our legs!
With Switch 2 have game chat?
The infamous 'C-Button' was an aspect of the Switch controller that caught the eye of viewers during its initial announcement. We later discovered the 'C-Button' was a Chat Button allowing players to interact with each other when gaming. Now this feature is available, we've noticed a few points.
Immediately (and I guess naturally when gaming) gamers noticed that the game chat doesn't censer any swear words. We assume this would also mean offensive language like racism and sexism aren't censored either. Hopefully, Nintendo picks up on this and make a change, especially if kids are playing. Game Chat is only a private space, so you only chat with friends meaning the general public isn't opened up to your speech, we this this is why Nintendo let censorship slide. Game Chat connects very quickly, so if you decide last minute to start streaming your gameplay to your friends, this can be done. Please note: Nintendo temporarily records all Game Chat action, it's deleted within 24 hours of the session ending. We assume this is safeguard reasonings.
Is the Nintendo Switch 2 good?
Though we don't consider this as a negative, it's worth noting that the graphics on Switch 2 aren't really that much improved compared to the Switch, they're the same. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, because the Switch already had incredible graphics. Just if you're expecting something new... don't be.
It's also interesting to note that in America, specifically Staten Island, a gaming branch store GameStop accidentally stapled through the box and packaging and into the Switch 2, therefore puncturing the screen. This was instantly fixed as customers sent their consoles back and immediately received a refund or replacement. But it shows something as small as stapling tracking info or prices onto a console can seriously damage it.

Conclusion:
The Switch 2 is an incredible console; it has many new and impressive features that work really well. Whilst some features aren't as impressive as expected; it's still a very incredible console that we think you should try out.
